Lifestyle Show 12:00-1:00
I will start this hour talking to Dr. Beverly Potter. She is a psychologist specializing in career and workplace issues, including overcoming job burnout, managing stress, and training development. We will talk about the art of worrying. Everyone worries. Worrying is a survival skill because it helps us to identify and prepare for dangers. The problem is that once started, worrying is difficult to control. Allowed to continue unchecked, chronic worry can evolve into panic attacks and, in extreme cases, agoraphobia, which is a paralyzing fear of having a panic attack, especially in public. It can be so severe that, in the worst cases, the sufferer can't leave home.
I will also be speaking to Bill Evans about his new eco-thriller Frozen Fire. Once again he comes to us with his years of meteorological experience and very close to true life disaster story filled with fast paced danger, a compulsively-readable thriller that centers on eco-terrorism and culminates in an ecological disaster with worldwide implications—a disaster that could potentially wipe out life on Earth as we know it.
