Amanda Little has published widely on the environment, energy and technology for more than a decade. She wrote “Muckracker,” a long-running syndicated weekly column on Salon.com and Grist.org, and “Code Green,” a monthly column on green innovations for Outside magazine, where she was a contributing editor. Her work has appeared in the New York Times Magazine, Vanity Fair, Rolling Stone, Wired, New York, Men’s Journal and the Washington Post. Little has published interviews with figures including Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, Al Gore, Arnold Schwarzenegger, and John McCain. POWER TRIP is a first-person work of investigative journalism that reads like a fast-paced adventure story, not a book jammed with analysis and statistics. She traveled from deep-sea oil rigs to Kansas cornfields, NASCAR tracks to high-priced plastic surgeons, Pentagon offices to Texas wind farms. She dug into history to tell the stories of Thomas Edison, Henry Ford, Eisenhower, and other architects of today's energy system.
Joining me this hour will be Laura Katleman-Prue, author of the new book, Skinny Thinking. Skinny Thinking grew out of Laura’s desire to share the techniques she discovered to permanently heal the eating, weight, and body image issues that plagued her for thirty-five years. Her premise is: to become free of eating issues permanently, you have to get to the root of the problem by learning to think differently about food. Any one can force weight off through dieting, but it only stays off if you change your thinking. Once your thinking changes, your eating and your body have to change. In her private sessions and workshops, she teaches people how to incorporate the Skinny Thinking “Five Steps” into their lives so they will never again have to worry about food or their weight. Laura Katleman-Prue is a graduate of the Theravision Program in Transpersonal Psychology, has been meditating for twenty-five years and teaching meditation and non-duality since 2007. Her next workshop is on November 1st in Wellesley, MA. Sign up at www.SkinnyThinking.com or call her at 401-578-5505.

It's survival of the fittest and only the swiftest swimmers will find true love!
