The founder of a leading healthcare facility near Seattle, Dr. Gregg Jantz is the author (with Ann McMurray) of numerous books including Hope, Help, and Healing for Eating Disorders. Gotta Have It! is every grown-up’s guide for taming the inner two-year-old. Too many people spend so much time trying to get what they want that they have no energy left to get what they need. Dr. Gregg Jantz calls this phenomenon excessity—when excess becomes a “necessity.” Excessities—whether they are activities, behaviors, or objects—promise protection in a difficult world. Yet they never satisfy. In Gotta Have It!, readers are invited to discover the truth about themselves that is hiding behind their secret desires. With real-life stories and guided sections for self-reflection, Gotta Have It will help readers see life as never before—and delight in the way God longs to fulfill true needs. www.aplaceofhope.com
The argument continues as to whether wireless radiation is causing major damage to our health. While skeptics say the jury is still out, Kerry Crofton, Ph.D., says in fact, the jury is IN–on cell phone radiation, laptop computers, wireless routers and more. Crofton collaborated with many of the world’s leading scientists, physicians, and environmental health experts for her new book, Wireless Radiation Rescue – safeguarding your family from the risks of electro-pollution. Some government health and safety organizations have concluded that wireless products meeting established safety guidelines pose no known health risk. It's that "no known health risk" that's the clincher. Tobacco, asbestos, and downwind nuclear testing were once "no known health risk" as well. Bonnie McEneaney holds a BA from Brown University and an MPS from Cornell University. She had a long, successful career as a senior executive in the financial services industry and, more recently, changed her focus to writing. After losing her husband, Eamon, on 9/11, she published A Bend in the Road (Cornell Library, 2004), which is a compilation of her husband's poetry. Bonnie lives with her four children in New England and is a board member of Voices of September 11th. When Bonnie McEneaney's husband, Eamon, died in the attacks on the World Trade Center, she thought she had lost him forever. And then something unexpected happened that would shake her to the core and reassure her that her husband was still with her. As Bonnie reveals in this groundbreaking book, she began to have experiences that convinced her that her husband, in spirit, was sending her signs, indeed messages, that he was still present and watching over his family.

Dr. Joseph Russo is a Board Certified, Harvard trained Plastic Surgeon who has been in private practice in Newton Centre since 1991. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (F.A.C.S.) and a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (A.S.P.S.). The term mineral oil doesn’t sound that sinister when you say it, but according to one doctor, it is the worst ingredient in the current crop of anti-aging creams on the market. “Mineral oil is essentially a petroleum product, as in, what they make gasoline out of,” said Dr. Joseph Russo, a Harvard-trained board-certified plastic surgeon who has been in practice nearly 20 years. “For instance, petrolatum is a major ingredient in everything from lip balms to hand lotions and many anti-aging creams on the market. Manufacturers use it because it is an inexpensive spreadability agent, so it makes the cream cover your skin very smoothly. However, the problems it causes are many. It will clog your pores. It doesn’t allow the skin to ‘breathe,’ meaning it prevents oxygen flow. Your body’s natural oils can’t break through the barrier it presents, and it suffocates your skin, actually promoting the formation of wrinkles. With all the natural ingredients that produce the same spreadability benefit, the obvious question is why do they use it? The answer: it’s cheap.” There’s a great deal of information on this at www.betterskintoday.com , as well as some great skincare tips and a list of products that do not contain any of these harmful ingredients. Dr. Russo believes that people looking to stem the tide of skin aging should look for different products that feature natural ingredients and avoid all the harmful effects of mineral oils, petroleum products and other harmful unnatural ingredients.
Paul J. Rosen, a Portland and Vancouver acupuncturist, graduated with a Bachelor of Arts & Sciences degree in Chemistry (major), Mathematics and Philosophy (minors), from Western Michigan University. He also holds a Doctorate of Jurisprudence from Indiana University School of Law at Bloomington. Mr. Rosen subsequently achieved a Master's of Traditional Oriental Medicine from Emperors College in Santa Monica, California, where he graduated with honors. Oriental Medicine includes the disciplines of acupuncture, herbal medicine, tui na (massage), dietary and nutritional therapy among others. Mr. Rosen continued his education in acupuncture and herbal medicine by earning a postgraduate Certificate of Achievement in Shanghai, China. He later completed more advanced acupuncture training in Stans, Switzerland. As a licensed Portland and Vancouver Acupuncturist he has continued postgraduate education in many areas of natural medicine including diet, nutrition and health improvement program design. Most recently he graduated from the leading-edge nutritional program as a master clinician of Nutrition Response Testing. Paul Rosen wants people to understand the irony of the fact that Americans are the best fed, but most undernourished population on the planet. “It’s not about obesity, because everyone knows we’re the most obese nation on the planet,” said Rosen, author of The Great Health Heist (www.TheGreatHealthHeist.com ). “If it was just about people being fat, it wouldn’t matter, but it’s not. Nutrition is not about how much you weigh, but your overall health, and in this nation, we eat garbage daily.” Rosen’s thesis is that the processed foods and food substitutes, both commercial and organic -- cannot sustain health.
