Ed Sullivan, who could not sing, dance, or act, was TV's greatest showman in its early years. For 23 years, from 1948 to 1971, he hosted America's premiere variety show every Sunday night on CBS, on which he introduced an eclectic array of talent that included everything from opera singers to dancing bears to Elvis Presley and the Beatles. This book is an inside view of The Ed Sullivan Show and the unusual story of one of the most unlikely television stars who played host to such diverse talents as Van Cliburn, Rudolf Nureyev, Robert Goulet, Richard Pryor, and The Rolling Stones. William Gladstone is the author of the international bestselling novel THE TWELVE. He is also the literary agent for Eckhart Tolle, Neale Donald Walsch. Thomas Hartmann, Barbara Marx Hubbard, Dr. Ervin Laszlo and many other prominent leaders and visionaries.Bill is a graduate of Yale College and Harvard University and has traveled throughout the world as a cultural anthropologist and researcher for films such as In Search of Ancient Mysteries. Easy to use, enjoyable to read, and proven effective, this is a revolutionary new method for taking advantage of the “law of attraction” drawn from the legendary Master Key System. Thanks to such books as Napoleon Hill's Think and Grow Rich and the recent best-selling The Secret, millions of people now realize that success comes from more than just chance, fate, good connections, or even hard work. At the same time, these volumes don't offer a practical daily process for attaining your goals-and that's exactly what Tapping the Source provides. It teaches a daily method that stimulates the process for manifesting your dreams outlined in The Secret. These techniques can be applied to any aspect of life, from sex to career to creativity. Just “tap into the source”-daily Manifestation Sessions, each totaling no more than three to five minutes-and live the life you want! What is the MASTER KEY SYSTEM? The genesis of the ideas in Tapping the Source-which are a natural extension of the concepts expounded upon in The Secret-is Charles Haanel's classic 1912 work, The Master Key System. Although Napoleon Hill is popularly considered the father of the “law of attraction,” a letter from Hill to Charles Haanel, reproduced in Tapping the Source, thanks Haanel for his illuminating ideas. The letter is dated 1919, 18 years before Think and Grow Rich was published. http://tappingthesourcebook.com
Sharon Riley Executive Director for The Women's Lunch Place will be here to talk about the importance of giving this holiday season. Since 1982, thousands of Boston's poorest women have found refuge and welcome at the Women's Lunch Place. Many of these women sleep outside or in temporary overnight shelters. They are often required to take their belongings with them and to search for their own food and shelter during daytime hours. The Women's Lunch Place is one of the few places where they and other women can find comfort and sustenance during the day. We treat our guests with dignity and respect and foster a community committed to meeting each woman's individual needs. Our work is made possible by the kindness of private donations and dedicated volunteers. The Women’s Lunch Place provides a safe, comfortable daytime shelter, nutritious food, and services for women who are homeless or poor. We treat women with dignity and respect and foster a community committed to meeting each woman’s needs. www.womenslunchplace.org
