After learning that his parents are not only alive but living only a few hours away in the city, Omar, the heir to the ancient shrine of Karalabad, decides to meet them, risking his very life as he sneaks from under the watchful eye of Pir Sahib, the holy man with a black, evil heart, who at one time Omar thought was his father. While Omar has some fond memories of his childhood, his life take a drastic turn when he runs into a 'Rat-boy' - one of the many mysteries of the shrine. Through this unplanned encounter, Pir Sahib rips the veil of innocence from Omar's eyes, accelerating his training and vividly showing Omar that to disobey is to court death. After living through heart-wrenching loss, and being forced to commit unspeakable acts of terror and cruelty, when Omar stands face-to-face with his real parents, he knows he must find any means possible to run away from his life of lies

A six-month study from China that analyzed more than 70 million tweets found rage is the emotion most likely to spread throughout social media.
“Rage dominates all platforms and includes The Facebook Rager, The Angry Twitter and The Online Dating Avenger – all of which are bizarre forms of rage from individuals with an axe to grind,” says Dr. Peter Andrew Sacco, a psychology professor in Canada and formerly in the USA and author of “Technological Rage,” (www.petersacco.com).
The study found that angry posts spark a ripple effect, igniting similar posts on average three degrees of separation away from the source.
“It’s not just a tech revolution that has transformed society this past decade; there has also been a fundamental shift in communication, which is perhaps the defining trait of human beings,” says Dr. Sacco, a regular commentator on television and radio talk shows in the United States and Canada.
“From texting to dating sites, context has been taken out of our traditional communication. We are not as accountable as we once were. Whereas women were once the better communicators because they are more emotionally connected to their language, that trait is now a liability with the new formats of communication.”

The seventh edition will confirm the status of The World Atlas of Wine as the most essential and authoritative wine reference work. Reflecting the changing nature of the wine scene, the Atlas details developments in climate, technique and fashion as well as new regulations made over the last six years. A new Australian map highlights the importance of cool-climate regions as global warming takes effect, for example, while dynamic regions such as coastal Croatia, South Africa's Swartland and Ningxia in China are covered for the first time. The world's increasing appetite for wine is matched by a growing thirst for knowledge, which this book will amply satisfy.
