Ξ Jordan Romero was only nine-years old when he saw a mural in his school that depicted the Seven Summits – the seven highest climbable peaks in the world. He couldn’t stop thinking about that mural, and finally announced to his father that his new goal was to climb all Seven Summits. Thus started an incredible journey that is told in the new book NO SUMMIT OUT OF SIGHT: The True Story of the Youngest Person to Climb the Seven Summits (Simon and Schuster, May 2014). Even though he had never been much of a hiker, Romero started training at the age of nine with his athlete parents, who would take him on trails to begin getting fit enough for Mt. Kilimanjaro in Africa. He learned to carry a pack and pull out snacks; they increased the weight he carried weekly, and once he even lugged a medicine ball up a mountain.

Ξ Andrew Daniels from Men's Health magazine will be here to talk about a story featured in this months issue on grilling and mosquitos. Here are a few of the tips we will discuss.TIP #1: STAGE A DROUGHT Even a bottle cap filled with water can be a mosquito breeding spot. So here's what you've got to do to keep skeeters away: Wipe down tables and your grill really well after rain Keep an eye out for stagnant water in random places around the yard Don't leave even a single bottle cap from a single bottle of beer behind that could capture water and be a breeding ground for mosquitos. TIP #2: DON'T LET SKEETERS RECYCLE Thank you for being a great steward of the enviroment... ...and for recycling everything you can. But before you throw anymore beer bottles into your recycling bin, please use a power drill to knock a bunch of holes into the bottom of the bin... ...so it can't hold any water where mosquitos can breed.
