Drop the Act, It’s Exhausting! by Beth Thomas Cohen is one woman’s call to embrace the imperfections in our lives and air our “improper” thoughts about relationships, love, sex, parenting, careers, self-esteem, and self-image. By no longer being ashamed or apologetic about how “we really feel,” women will become more aware of who we are and more accepting of ourselves and one another. With wit, candor, and refreshingly blunt observations, Beth Thomas Cohen proves herself the prime example of how freeing, fun, and unifying it can be to drop the act and live a not so put-together life. www.beththomascohen.com Ξ Jeff Boss author of NAVIGATING CHAOS: How to Find Certainty in Uncertain Situations has faced and overcome uncertainty in the most tumultuous circumstances. Told in the first person by Keston, this uplifting memoir traces the legal, medical, and emotional hurdles on the long and winding journey to the birth of their adorable, feisty daughter, Delaney Skye. As Keston shares, falling fiercely in love and fighting for the right to life of a child with Down syndrome would force her to confront her deep fear of and prejudice against the disabled. “I had been given a second chance by an amazing little muse,” reflects Keston. “She gave me a unique experience, a bizarre divine intervention that made me look in the mirror…She made me see that I could do better.”When Andréa seized on the idea of becoming a pregnancy surrogate for a wealthy Silicon Valley couple, Keston reluctantly gave in. How could she deny another devoted lesbian couple the joy of motherhood? Andréa and Keston had no idea they’d be signing on for a rollercoaster ride. www.savingdelaney.com Ξ Most people know sugar and carbohydrates aren’t good for us – but many don’t realize exactly how bad they are, or that they are the two leading causes of our current public health crisis. Dr. Richard Jacoby is a stop peripheral nerve surgeon who realized that when too much sugar is in the blood, it causes nerve compression and inflammation that leads to a number of chronic diseases. He lays out the situation in his new book, SUGAR CRUSH , which highlights the link between sugar and a number of conditions from cancer to Alzheimer’s. Dr. Jacoby then shows how to better understand the affect of sugar on your health, where hidden sugar and carbs are coming from, and how to cut these poisons out of your life. sugarcrushthebook.com

Did you know that every time your little angels feast on brightly colored Easter treats, they might be filling up on the products of Chinese petrochemical factories? “Many parents would be horrified to learn that most of the synthetic food dyes used to make Easter candies so colorful and appealing to kids are petroleum byproducts imported from China,” said Jane Hersey, National Director of the Feingold Association (www.ADHDdiet.org ), a charity that helps children with learning and behavior problems. “Parents have often assumed that the hyperactivity, temper tantrums, and other behavior problems that many children have after eating Halloween candy are caused by sugar, but recent studies have revealed that these behaviors are often triggered by synthetic dyes, flavorings or preservatives in the candy,” said Hersey, whose eldest daughter’s behavior was helped by removing these additives from her diet. The negative effects of synthetic food dyes on children’s behavior have been known since the 1970’s, when Dr. Ben Feingold discovered this link and developed the low-additive Feingold Diet. Since then, an increasing body of research has established that the synthetic food dyes widely used today are far from harmless and can affect children’s behavior in profound ways Ξ John Willard is the grandson of the founder and creator of Willard Water who has recently joined the Willard Water team following the death of his uncle. He’s making some significant and exciting changes in how they market and distribute Willard Water. His background is in politics, communications and media relations. He worked for the Clinton Administration under the Secretary of Agriculture, and for Tim Johnson. Dr. John W. Willard, Ph.D, invented Catalyst Altered Water (CAW) in the late 1960s and re-named his product “Willard Water®” shortly after 60 Minutes aired a detailed story on Dr. Willard and his invention in 1980. Willard Water® is many things to many people, and is used in a variety of ways. What seems to be the common denominator is that Dr. Willard’s Water® is a more efficient form of water. Technically, the molecular structure of H2O is altered by a catalyst. As a result, the Catalyst Altered Water (CAW) acts as a normalizer on all living things not in a healthy state. When consumed regularly, Dr. Willard’s Water® can help assimilate nutrients more efficiently, increase enzyme activity and strengthen the immune system. For more on this wonderful product please visit www.drwillard.com
